Welcome to St Peter’s CofE Primary School
We are delighted to welcome you to the website for St Peter’s CofE Primary School, now proud to be part of the NEAT Academy Trust family as of 1st January 2025. Our school, located in the heart of Wallsend, is committed to providing the very best education for every child. Rooted in Christian values, our ethos is centred on Growing Well Together.
At St Peter’s, we celebrate the unique talents of every pupil. Our dedicated staff work tirelessly to nurture and support children in a safe, happy and inclusive environment. We aim to develop confident, independent learners through a creative, well-balanced curriculum tailored to meet the needs of all.
Our Vision and Values
Our school vision for the children and adults of St Peter’s Primary School is ‘Growing well together’, all based on the Parable of the Sower found in Mark’s gospel.
The Parable of the Sower
In the parable a man went out to sow grain, the man represents God and the seed is His message. Just as a planted seed starts to grow, the word of God starts to deepen and grow within a person. This parable guides us in developing strong roots and flourishing into individuals who make a positive impact, just as the good soil in the Parable of the Sower allowed the seed to thrive.
Our school values are: directly linked to our GROW model.
Nurturing our gifts and talents
● Just as good soil allows a seed to grow and produce, we should nurture our gifts and talents, allowing them to flourish and be a source of good.
Resilience
● Being resilient means having a deep-rooted faith that allows us to persevere and not give up when the going gets tough.
Kindness
● Practicing kindness is a way to ensure our lives are not choked by these “thorns,” allowing God’s message to grow instead.
Wonder
● A small seed, can take root and grow exponentially within a person leading them t0 see the capacity for growth in one another.
